When you say that you played in the office, do you mean that you played during working hours? It seems to me that there should be some special place for gambling, maybe somewhere at home, but definitely not at work. But if you decide to quit gambling, then this may be the right decision, especially if you constantly lose. Renting out real estate is more like a business than a hobby, but if you like it and it will bring in profit, then it will definitely be better than losing money on gambling.
I highly agree, gambling should not interfere with our works and other important task. I just watch a news today about these two drivers whose licenses were suspended because they were caught and recorded gambling while they were driving a public transportation vehicle. This is an obvious sign of gambling addiction, where they can't control theirselves in gambling and going it even when driving. This action put people in danger. This was already a concern these days since the access for online gambling is just a mobile phone away.
Btw, about @OP, I commend him for having self-control. I believe it is not about the process that rejects the gambling site but rather his desire to control himself than losing more in gambling. Even with lots of firewalls and restrictions, if his resolve is not enough, @OP can just disabled these barrier and access these gambling sites.
