From what I have seen this speculative portal sees a lot of such shady new things that come and go and some people fall prey of them and lose money and others make money from them.
Scary and dangerous but profitable for the people who are running them, similarity can be drawn with shitcoins, memecoins and MLM schemes in the past with fiat.
I would suggest people to stick to bitcoin and bitcoin only. That eliminates most of these rugpulls and exit scams.
You're right shady crypto projects and deals that people bring out with the hopes of unaware investors catching in and those who are running such shady things this is the reason why people who are new to crypto currency should not rush into investing as it may lead to you losing money but one has to time and study how things work and know what is realistic or not.
I will not advise anyone to go the trial and error type which often leads to lossing so always people should always ask questions about crypto and and try to differentiate between altcoins which are highly unstable and Bitcoin which should be the ideal asset for anyone coming into the crypto space to invest due to it stable and trustworthy nature
