If someone becomes successful in sports betting over the long run, would you say that’s because of luck or skill?

There’s been a debate in the forum, some believe that gambling success is purely luck, that no real skill is involved, and that it’s not something to take seriously because eventually, you’ll lose. But there are bettors who have consistently made profit and proven they can win in the long run, believe it or not.

So the question is, can we still call that luck? Or is that already skill at work?

I really don't believe that it's possible to develop a skill or master the act of winning sport betting, rather I tend to tilt towards more of luck, but in situation where someone  keeps winning consistently is what I really can't explain; that's still not mastering it to me. The person must feel he has devised a means of winning,  but I am sure the person in question still loses some bets. That being the case I can say a little skill in analyzing is required,  but you also need a bit of luck to win. In all I still advice you gamble responsibly, rather than trying to master it.
