You did what most gamblers are struggling to do, discipline is very important to have as gambler
Not gambling for a whole month? That’s tough, and to be honest, probably not something most gamblers really want to do. If you already have discipline, even during a losing streak, it’s not always necessary to stop completely and take a long break just to “evaluate things.”
That feels like giving up too much of the fun and enjoyment we get from gambling. From the start, if we truly understood what we’re doing, we wouldn’t need that kind of reset. Gambling can still continue, the key is just to keep it under control.
That's his challenge to himself and his strategy not to go deep in this activity. Because each one of us has different approach in combating the addiction. And for him - total pause is needed not to go on the brink of addiction.
Whatever strategy you will impose to yourself, just believe that you can do it as long as you are keeping tabs on what you're doing. If you feel that you are out of way, pause and make a self-assessment. Don't wait for others to pinpoint something, change your route and believe in yourself that you can do what you wanted to do in life.
