I don't know why it's not working from your end. I just test run it and it worked perfectly. However, it only work for merits and ranks. OP, should think outside the box.

I have also add some new feature to it , you can have another review. New features shows: The number of Activities needed and Merits needed to go to the next rank and also add some nice Visual progress bar to complement the percentages.
