One thing you must know is that once you retire as a Super Eagles player, the Nigerian government is not responsible for your well-being again because they paid you for your service as a Super Eagles player, so I won't blame the Nigerian government for neglecting Kadiri Ikhana on his sickbed. Our retired Super Eagles players and present players should leave wayward life alone, and they should prioritize investing their money wisely so that when they experience any health challenge, they can be able to solve their problem by themselves rather than relying on the Nigerian government or individuals to help them solve their problem.
I don't agree with you, this is our national heroes and they should be entitled to free medical services and a pension, that's how it's been done in Europe. Super Eagles players are not plaid any salary, whatever they are doing is out of patriotism, at best the NFF gives them match bonuses which is only when your been called for national service. Check all the the players that have been called to the national team in Europe, they get this entailment till death and it always helps as encouragement for people to want to play for their national team, why is ours different, and funny enough, there are monies allocated every year for some of these issues whenever it arises but you won't see it.
