Considering how significant the role he played for Real Madrid is, I was also thinking he would stay at Madrid till he decides to retire what but  on the flip side, I think Madrid are the ones not asking for a contract renewal, they did the same thing to Toni kroos just that kroos didn't want to play anymore, if not, he would have still found himself a better option with top European clubs, just the way Luka Modric did.

AC Milan Ii know will really going to enjoy ishis experience and the technical play that he will bring in their midfield, players with the quality of Luka modric don't just fade away so quickly, because they still have a lot of contribute to the body of football, trust me if after the end of the season he gives them what they want in terms of contribution, you would likely see a contract renewal from AC.
