Lamine Yamal may not be as likely to fail as Ansu Fati did for Barcelona, but expecting him to replicate the same incredible feats as Messi did for Barcelona is incredibly difficult. Messi has faced players who are as tough as a hurricane. Lamine Yamal hasn't encountered such a player in his Barcelona career. If he were to encounter a player like Ramoz or Pepe in a tough match, he would likely suffer an injury before his career could take off.

We have seen what the lad can do, and there's no reason casting away believe from him that he would do as better as Lionel Messi did. I could remember when Messi took over the #10 jersey after Ronaldihno, little did we knew he had such great potentials lying down there only waiting to be awaken. Every era comes with different challenges, am sure there were tougher players back then in the time of Diego Maradona, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo before Messi's era, and to this end it makes no difference for Yamal.
