I've had a similar experience. In the several tournaments I've played, when I went all in early, I always lost, and the river was always a sucka. Since then, I've avoided going all in early, or I've preferred to wait for someone else to go all in.
same experience with me.
But Outside of tournaments, I'm personally aggressive, and bluffing is my most common activity. But in tournaments, I've become more patient, realizing that ultimately, only the one who can survive until the end wins. But in regular play, I just need to play quickly, making some traps, as if I were patient and not aggressive. Then, at some point, I become aggressive, making others think I have a good hand... when I don't.

When playing in tournaments, we sometimes think about the money and play patiently, but subconsciously overfold.
This makes it easy to understand our strategic style. Sometimes in tournaments, we also need to be a little aggressive to disguise our strategic style and make it difficult to read.
Well, in tournaments, sometimes I start to feel like I'm not playing like my usual self. But I try to adapt and do my best. What makes poker interesting is that it's not just about luck but also about psychological strategy.
So sometimes a good mood is needed to play better. When you're tired, it's better to avoid playing. At least that's how I feel.-
