I totally understand why people get addicted to gambling; that's because they want to make money and they always think they can get it right the next round, that's when you need to caution yourself, so you don't get addicted.

That's how it should be; everyone should gamble responsibly. The negative impacts of gambling are essentially caused by addiction. They can't sit still without gambling and may even lose sleep because they constantly think about gambling. The thought of a big win from a particular game drives them to continue gambling, a negative impact experienced by many gamblers.

There are certainly many worse impact, but when gamblers gamble responsibly, it's still possible to avoid the extreme imapct of gambling. Anyone who gambles repeatedly is certainly addicted, even if they don't gamble for money. The negative impact are relatively low, as they don't fully expect to make a lot of money from gambling.
