I believe that such people are blinded by gambling, so they rely entirely on the potential winnings they can achieve with their strategies. They often seek new strategies when their trusted strategies don't yield results, and this pattern continues until it becomes a recurring and difficult-to-break habit.
Losing at gambling shouldn't be blamed on others, not on the strategy itself, but on the loss itself. The one to blame is ourselves. When we decide to gamble, we should know we have a high chance of losing our deposited money. While strategies may help (perhaps), they don't guarantee a guaranteed win.
That is why it's also very crucial to set realistic expectations for one's self as a gambler, because whatever expectations a gambler have when gambling will automatically shape their attitude and approach towards gambling, this is why there's always a very huge difference between one who's expectations is solely to be entertained and then earn Se money while at it, and one who's expectations are solely to generate some income from gambling, there's always a difference in these two both in approach and attitude.
