Why unfair to the associate teams ? We have only six teams to play in the Olympics and they should be the top ones, shouldn't be it like that

When the top six teams goes in the Olympics, we will be able to see some nice matches. USA automatically qualifies is already one of the weakest teams. Now you would not want small teams like Scotland or the Netherlands playing this event and teams like Australia, India or even South Africa sitting back, unable to qualify.

It is unfair to the associate teams because they don't have a pathway to qualify for the Olympic competition no matter how much talented they are. From what I heard, the entry would be based on the ICC T20 team rankings. Since the associate teams never play against full members, they can never overtake them. And that is the reason why I said that it is unfair to them. In every other team sports in the Olympics, there is a proper qualification pathway to select the teams.
I agree with Sithara007 here. Every team should be given a chance to qualify and it is not fair to put the top six or five teams in the Olympics and ignore the rest. Even in different sports we have qualifying rounds from different continents and then the top teams participate in ICC and Fifa World cups etc.
The best thing would be to have a pre-qualifying round for all the countries and then the top five may be selected to participate. The host if it's a cricket playing nation would be auto selected, that's understandable.
