AFAIK, Barcelona, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich are all interested in him, and now that Barca has sent a bid to Manchester United, I believe the other interested clubs will try to offer something better. Sending him on loan will be Manchester United's last resort. He's an academic graduate, and as such, they would want to sell him outrightly so that they can get money for PSR.
