It's because of only the champions league that he won and also was a very good player in the tournament that's why I think Ousman Dembele deserve the ballon d'Or. Don't use those farmers league statistics to say he deserve the Ballon d'Or. Many players can get more than the statistics he got in the farmers league and the players won't be able to do the same in other league. PSG was a good team last season and won the champions league. There wasn't any other bigger competition this year like the world cup therefore the winner should be gotten from the champions league club and that's where Ousman Dembele become the top choice.
Dembele truly deserves the Ballon d'Or, I think only M Salah is his closest competitor right now. Meanwhile, Yamal is a new sensation, but he still has a lot to prove. If Mbappe, Vinicius, or Haaland manage to win the Champions League trophy and their teams succeed in domestic competitions, the story would be different Dembele might only make it onto the nominee list. Situationally, Dembele seems very lucky because some of the best contenders on the nomination list do not have better statistics.
In my opinion, Dembele has met all the requirements to be a Ballon d'Or winner, his contributions to PSG this season have been quite impressive. However, the final decision rests with the jury, who will assess Dembele overall performance through a complex process, and certainly not just based on statistics alone.
