Dembele truly deserves the Ballon d'Or, I think only M Salah is his closest competitor right now. Meanwhile, Yamal is a new sensation, but he still has a lot to prove. If Mbappe, Vinicius, or Haaland manage to win the Champions League trophy and their teams succeed in domestic competitions, the story would be different Dembele might only make it onto the nominee list. Situationally, Dembele seems very lucky because some of the best contenders on the nomination list do not have better statistics.

In my opinion, Dembele has met all the requirements to be a Ballon d'Or winner, his contributions to PSG this season have been quite impressive. However, the final decision rests with the jury, who will assess Dembele overall performance through a complex process, and certainly not just based on statistics alone.

If PSG didn't win the Champions league their league titles and participated in the Club World Cup I would've said it should be given to Yamal or Raphinha cause those lads really tried in the previous Champions league and in the Spanish league too but then Dembele was very outstanding last season he really met every requirement and should be given this current Ballon d'Or title.
