Yes, while you're playing to become the best, there are losers creating new teams every week and selecting players from the best fixtures to win weekly and monthly awards.

How easy it to create your team for 3 weeks in advance ? get all the right players, including captaincy and finish ahead of the entire millions of players ? It's not impossible but highly improbable, if you disagree, I'll take a small sidebet of 1 mBTC with you that you should create a new team solely with an attempt to finish in the top 500 of GW 3 (if you finish in the top 500 you win, if you don't I win, and mind you, the team needs to be created from the GW 1.

Not talking about your bet here but here is how I would attack any given GW.

I would create a team 5 or 6 weeks earlier with any players I like. Than one week before the one I am targeting I would use WC. And then on the week I am targeting I am still having 5 transfers. If you don't think that is advantage over the rest of us....
