Hahahaha lmao. Marcus Smart is a good defender but he is a liability on offense which he frequently taking too much error.
But seriously this might work too considering that Lakers has a lot of good attacker. Smart should adjust to defensive position only just like what Caruso doing on OKC.
He will be tossed by Lakers immediately if keeps messing with his poor offense.
With Luka and LeBron on the team, it will already take a long time for Smart to get the ball on offense. When you add Reaves and Ayton into the mix too, nobody's really expecting Smart to carry any major scoring load. If he just hits his career averages which is 10ppg, that would be more than enough.
As a guard, he doesn't even have to carry the ball, because Luka and LeBron handle that most of the time anyway. He just needs to do his job in defense.
Lakers expect him to contribute on defensive ends and he will replace the spot of Finney Smith. He can be a tone setter on defensive ends that's why he's really great addition on Lakers especially they need people can defend the perimeter and make the life of teams front court hard.
There are rumors that he will play as starter on Lakers and wonder on how he can blend together with two ball dominant superstar in their team.
So lets just see what adjustment they would made, but I really think Smart is good to be their six man or
comecame from bench since for sure he could deliver more compare if he come together with their big stars.
