Sighs..... Well I hope you are aware that the idea of a forever holder is quite vague and naive and I think that is partially what your thread is pointing towards. Every individual or organisation hodling bitcoin is hodling to eventually sell off at a preferred price the only entity I believe could be left out is Satoshi else everyone will eventually sell.

There's nothing wrong with selling at $80k like philipma1957 did when we first entered the bull run. If people don't sell bitcoin people can't buy bitcoin. I think we should preach P2P usage as much as we do hodling besides it was Satoshi's dream for bitcoin.

If you re-read the thread yet again you see that my post was never about investors not selling off there bitcoins i don’t even believe in plain holding and not selling of bitcoin every investment is to take profit and better ones life also people who say they won’t take profit are just bluffing even the biggest preacher of this phrase Micheal Saylor once took profit around 2022. My plight is don’t sell bitcoin and buy shitcoins just to make more money as many are saying right now.

Also I use bitcoin as a currency and also treat it as an investment asset too. Bitcoin is an alternative currency for transactions not treating it like isn’t helping it

4. lastly Buying Altcoins are not diversification means so do not take profit from bitcoin to buy Altcoins.
Why not? Example on XRP, if you have it even just october last year or on the last 9 months, you are now 5x or 6x richer, compare if you have bitcoin in the same month, you earn x2 as well. Having ALTs doesn't mean you are abandoning or betraying bitcoin, its diversification.
If you have both coins last year or the month mentioned, it means you have at at least x8 profit instead of x2 only.

I disagree with Altcoins been diversification with bitcoin, diversification is simply having another asset which even if the other primary asset is facing downturn the other will be stable or not having Same issue. Today if bitcoin faces any dip or is in a bearish trend no other Altcoins ever survive. Worst of it do you see any altcoin surviving should bitcoin collapse? I don’t think so, so Altcoins cannot be anything like diversification.

Also the buying of altcoins can is a pure gamble because just as you used XRP as an example XRP has been way down since how many years now and come to think of it as at last year who would have thought that it would be high like this, what if your choice wasn’t XRP but ethereum or anyother coin would the risk be paying off now, that’s why we say it is huge gamble and sticking to bitcoin limits the risk of losing
