Those are really good advices. Keeping mind occupied and focused on things other than gambling, specially if they can help one to contribute more value to their community and earn money to live independently, is great way to overcome gambling addiction.

I observed similar pattern too, that gambling addicts in my community stop betting when they start relationship or start working on the job. Probably the routine that starts to form is good catalyst for overcoming addiction.
