I did not think that the narrative that the players are bigger than the coach can manage is a real one. Also remember that Ancelloti played with this set of players and could not win anything for the season. It is a team chemistry problem and not an individual problem. Even when you write off any issues with the team as it is presently constituted, I'm glad you finally came to agreement that Mbappe signing brought some issues in the club because there is an unhealthy rivalry between him and Vinicius Jr. Ancelotti started making progress in Real Madrid when he was able to tame the players and mould them into what he wants. That is exactly the same problem Xabi Alonso will be having, he has to be in charge by exerting his powers on the players and make them understanding that their prospect depend on him.

You have a point but always remember that no team biult around one player can survive. There must be synergy in the team to achieve anything serious.
