Most of these online shopping platforms have return and refund policies. Just think, how complicated and costly would it be for businesses to issue refunds when the price of bitcoin fluctuates hourly? Not to mention transaction fees are also a problem because most of the items on Shopee are cheap items, as you mentioned.

By the way, Uber has not officially accepted direct payments in bitcoin or cryptocurrency, it is all just plans.

Uber considering to accept crypto currency again is a sign that they may have regretted their previous decision to suspend accepting crypto currency this to me shows that they may have not imagined that crypto currency must have developed into what we are seeing today.

With the way that the world is going it's only good that any company that is thinking about the growth and future of their company should think the way of crypto especially stable coins like Bitcoin which has become a global asset due to it nature
