I still think they came out on top in this game against Bahia with this draw. At any other time, I'm sure they would have lost. So this draw is at least a breather. Obviously, they could have been better, and they have been in previous years. But the players are very unmotivated right now.
Look, I just don’t understand how someone who gets paid to play football, gets paid to train, has access to an entire club structure with doctors, physiotherapists, personal trainers, eats the best food, earns excellent salaries, way above any regular working citizen, can still end up feeling unmotivated. I don’t know what’s going on. If I were a football player and had that whole structure and all those people working for me, in my favor, it would be impossible. It’s like that analogy people make about being depressed in Paris. I’ll never understand it
Same can be said about actors that kill themselves even after winning awards, getting millions to shot movies and being stars that are admired everywhere. Or millionaires and billionaires that have everything they can have and still end their lifes. Demotivation is about feeling sad and without energy, sometimes it's hard to get out of that because we are flesh machines.
And you can be unmotivated after losing or not getting what you want in life. Sometimes the players wanted to be something more, to
playerplay in Europe and aim for the champions league. It's not that simple to say they get paid to play football so they should be motivated.
