I don't think it will wear off. Rich people still gamble because for profit or money. They are rich meaning they can bet more money than what a casual gambler do. High stakes means higher winnings so it would still be enjoyable for a rich person betting a huge amount.

It is still exciting for the rich people but the levels are different. If you are not that rich, $100 is probably very exciting for you but to rich people they may not even give another thought a $100 lol that is why the richer they are the higher of the amount they bet to increase the risk.
