I agree with you, that's the mistake many young people make they don't value the time they have. They tend to dwell on useless things like chatting with friends for hours and socializing without a clear goal and not getting any results, many of them get stuck for long periods without thinking about their future.

They only realize this when they see their friends starting to plan their futures and achieve their goals. Perhaps only then do they realize that the time they've wasted can't be recovered. This realization can be a valuable lesson, but it's often accompanied by deep regret.
