Good move for both clubs and player, well it's good you said it's only Haaland you can remember of that had high expectations and still met it in the EPL as a striker. Just to add it maybe remind you of some notable strikers that still conquered EPL as strikers. In 2007, Liverpool paid a club record fee of almost £21 million for Fernando Torres, Chelsea signed Didier Drogba from Marseille, Manchester City signed Kun Aguero from Atletico Madrid. I'm just trying to remind you few of these guys that came from other leagues and still conquered EPL.

Thank you for extending the list of strikers with expensive transfer to the EPL that were able to still conquer the league but I'll have appreciated you had mentioned those of recent. Grealish was doing great with Aston villa until he was signed to Manchester city with an expensive fee which led to all eyes on him to do more better at City due to the expensive fees dumped on him. But what was the result? I don't even want to talk about Mudryk to Chelsea. However, am not implying that Gyokeres may not conquer the EPL, I was just making a relevant reference...

I think you're getting the positioning of the players wrongly, you're talking of strikers and I mean outright strikers but the two players you mentioned here Grealish and Mudryk, these guys are not outright strikers but winger who plays from the RW position. Yes, I agree they were both big money ove players for their respective clubs but they are not strikers like Haaland but wingers. I get your point though but you're only mistaken the positions.
