The United States should better look for a better way to pay for their dept than to be looking for donations. It would be better if money is donated for homeless people than the government. What are they collecting taxes for? It is highly discouraging seeing United States sinking in the dept of debt.

The total US debt is close to $36.65 trillion and the country have received about $67.3 million since 1996. How long will it take for these donations to offset the debt maybe a century. The problem with the US is misplaced priority. Instead of seeking for means tot reduce public debt they are busy spending money on wars and others things that doesn't contribute to the prosperity of the US economy.

Supporting developing nations or those in needs are not bad. The US can give aids or grants to nations that are suffering from natural disasters, wars and others but sponsoring wars instead of using diplomacy is expensive.
