There aren't that many strikers that they could have gotten. Osimhen was one, but he required a lot, he wanted a net of 12+ million euro for his fee, which means 20+ million with taxes, so that has to be the most important part. We need to realize they can't pay that much for the sake of salary balance between players.

I think I would have to commend Amorim on not going for his previous players of Sporting, it shows he has a coach's instincts and his willing to learn and do new stuffs with entirely new sets of players. A coach that banks and relys on his previous players from his previous club isn't regarded as someone that can handle a new team in my own books. Your ability to form a new team and assemble a good squad after you have left a team makes you a better coach. This is my own opinion.
