Your take is valid as well. But the reason why I'm going to still go ahead with my plan to take such bets is that at the basic fundamental level, those bets are still very fun to take because it's mostly for big games with a lot of hype and bragging rights.

Also, like we already discussed, it's infinite money and so I might as well make the most out of it and max extract fun.

Perhaps if you have the infinite money we are talking about and you are very certain about the stability of your income source, knowing that once you spend there's hope of regenerating it back, it is very possible to make such awe bet that will make people drops their jaw open.
