I’m not surprised to see Liverpool spending that much this season because last season they didn’t spend much on players transfer, even with a new coach, they only bought one player (Chiesa), and they even bought him at a cheaper deal i think £10m, And they won the league currently so they have the financial muscle to make such signings. They didn’t spend much last season, meaning that the money they didn’t spend last season, couple with this seasons success, their income have really improved x2. Also, I think that Liverpool are trying to learn from what happened between them in the case involving the transfer of Caicedo to Chelsea a season ago. Initially it was agreed that caicedo is joining Liverpool, but Chelsea came at the later end to sign Caicedo at the expense of Liverpool with a more improved contract structure and signing fee. Caicedo was a very important summer transfer target for Liverpool, but due to some little bit of slackness Chelsea hijacked the deal from them, so due to all of these Liverpool I think are not trying to give a little space to their other premier leagues big spending clubs before they hijack their prime transfer targets from them., so they are doing everything possible this time around to get the players they really wanted.

Well in the case of Caicedo Chelsea already had a verbal agreement with the player before they approached the club, while Liverpool approached the club first before they planned talking with the player. So Caicedo was like, look this is the club that came to me and had discussion with me so am going to join them and keep my agreement with them. The mistake Liverpool made was not speaking with the player camp first and struck a deal with them before approaching the club. So even when Brighton said okay this is the money we want to sell, Chelsea said no problem we will add more to it. So from the player side they had a deal and on club side they offered more, thereby making Liverpool look lost and not having any other choice but to move elsewhere. Yes I know Liverpool has the money to spend this season. Isak has been their main target since the beginning of the transfer window, Newcastle was waiting for them to come get Isak that's why they were pricing Ekitike and boom Liverpool from no where and stole him.Now there are still talks of them wanting to buy Isak, do you think Newcastle will still want to do business with them?

Well I think Newcastle wouldn’t want to let go of their best player in the person of Isak. Though the player seems to prefer the move to Liverpool, but Newcastle don’t wish to let go of a player like that in their rank especially as they will be competing in the champions league and other top competitions this season and at such you need your best players intact and happy so they can be able to compete for the titles. Newcastle have what it takes financially to keep Isak, but I think the player feels he has more chances of winning the champions league with Liverpool than at Newcastle. Surely, Isak will definitely depart Newcastle to another team, not only Liverpool because he is highly sought after striker by many top teams in Europe but I don’t think it will happen this transfer window, maybe next summer transfer window . Newcastle I think will do everything within their power to keep the player at least for one more season considering the fact that Isak still have about three more years contract with Newcastle. Newcastle is likely to increase his weekly wages base on his performances last season and tie him down for this season to enable them get a replacement as they are already in the market for that, maybe they will be able to let him go in the next summer transfer market.
