Considering how outstanding Alexander Isak has been, I will really would love to see him play in a top-notch club, the youngster has the ability to improve over time and it will be a delight to watch him play among top players that will contribute to his improvement. As Newcastle united stands now, he is there talisman, letting him go is what I cannot envisage at that moment but Liverpool will seriously be breaking the Bank to buy him considering how much they've just spent in buying Ekitike.
Liverpool can still break the balcony for him, realised they haven't been spending for some recent seasons in comparison with other top teams their recent transfer records are nothing and not that they were being held by any restrictions.
Now they can strengthen their squad way more for a long term but the fee requested by Newcastle is really huge and I think this is because of the amount they spent on Florian Wirtz and Ekitike.
Of course if you can spend that amount of money in getting Florian Wirtz and Ekitike, you should be ready to spend much more higher when you are going to price away one of premier league most prolific strikers. Newcastle are really holding out not to sell him, but it's really a big temptation for them. With that amount of money I think they will be force to sell. Liverpool shouldn't have gone for Ekitike as I don't see the possibility of them spending such an amount on Ekitike and still spend that much in signing Isak. They should have focused all their energy and resources in getting Isak. But if Liverpool gets Isak in addition to Ekitike, they will be unstoppable next season.
I’m not surprised to see Liverpool spending that much this season because last season they didn’t spend much on players transfer, even with a new coach, they only bought one player (Chiesa), and they even bought him at a cheaper deal i think £10m, And they won the league currently so they have the financial muscle to make such signings. They didn’t spend much last season, meaning that the money they didn’t spend last season, couple with this seasons success, their income have really improved x2. Also, I think that Liverpool are trying to learn from what happened between them in the case involving the transfer of Caicedo to Chelsea a season ago. Initially it was agreed that caicedo is joining Liverpool, but Chelsea came at the later end to sign Caicedo at the expense of Liverpool with a more improved contract structure and signing fee. Caicedo was a very important summer transfer target for Liverpool, but due to some little bit of slackness Chelsea hijacked the deal from them, so due to all of these Liverpool I think are not trying to give a little space to their other premier leagues big spending clubs before they hijack their prime transfer targets from them., so they are doing everything possible this time around to get the players they really wanted.
I think people are surprised with the level of amount that Liverpool is spending in the transfer window because they aren't know for spending such amount of money, And I still think it was a factor of Jurgen Klopp who doesn't have a philosophy of spending so much money on players. Slot know that Liverpool have won the the league and they're a team that everyone will want to beat in the coming season, and other teams are strengthning and they have to also strengthen and making themselves stronger to defend their tittle.
Now in the case of Caicedo transfer, Liverpool wasn't interested from the beginning, because they had Fabinho, and When Fabinho decided to leave for Saudi that Liverpool needed a player to replace him, then they decided to go for Caicedo when Caicedo have already given his words to Chelsea and agreed personal terms, Chelsea didn't want to make such amount bid for Caicedo it was because Liverpool made that outrageous bid and Chelsea have no choice but to bid like what Liverpool did. I think if Liverpool had know they will loose Fabinho, they would have gone in for him earlier. It was quite a late move for them, so they had to settle for what they have in there disposal.
