Why Ben Simmons to the Boston Celtics is not as wild as it sounds to some

I read an article the other day, Ben Simmons has earned almost $1.5 million per game after his Sixers days. Signing someone who has missed most of his career due to injuries is no different from gambling. Moreover, if the plan is to play him until other players fully recovered, just imagine what will happen when he gets injured again. I find it unreasonable for the Celtics to take this risk. I heard Kings or Knicks are closer to sign him anyway.

Simmons got so many chances to start fresh, coaches, GMs and owners had so much patience with him, yet he never paid back. This guy should just quit. Obviously his mind is not right, I think he doesn't love basketball and the physical as well as psychological issues this guy has prevents him to be a valuable asset anywhere. I mean we know it, he knows it and the rest of the NBA should also know it. This career is over and nobody in their right mind should waste a roster spot or money on him, seriously!
I would waste a spot on him if the price was right, like 50k a game or something. No way would I pay big money for a washed up star who is as bad off as this guy. It would be a I can't find anything I want on the open market deal and I need  a body so here's a mercy contract type deal.
If i were the team manager iClippers, I would buy him out of the team, and find someone with a 10 day contract, then extend it if he's performing fine, Simmons psychological issue and the back injury, will not make him better again, back injury and a nerve issue, no one can perform long, since nerve issue can occur anytime, for sure they just want to fill the spot but for me, there are lots of other player better than Ben.
