How would this work?

I assume it ~~works like~~will work similar to the Hex airdrop. You ~~will~~ sign a message with your Bitcoin address and they will send your airdrop to an address on their chain that you specify. Then you can sell it for more Bitcoin ~~or Ethereum… Whatever~~.

Historically, forks and airdrops have given Bitcoiners an opportunity to get more Bitcoin, which has been extremely bullish for the price.
