Of course, Calamity can increase the rate of crime in a country, because the victims are desperate to take care of the basic needs and that will lead to looting for survival. They will also have easy access to places that they can steal from, because the disaster has made the vicinity unsecured due to the damage it caused and people would have abandoned their properties. It's really bad to have a government that doesn't care forturn their deaf hears on these victims.
