Great, avoiding that area that got you disadvantaged is the first ride on healing, so the gambler should be ready to quit first before he can proceed to the healing process from addiction.
Quitting is not easy at that point, I am not saying it is impossible but likely not to go through by many. But what the person should do is to be ready to quit then only the rehab or therapy or whatever the procedure he or from loved ones will help with the recovery process.
The gambler would be very lucky if his country has these kind of provisions for addiction recovery, in a country like mine the responsibility of rehabilitating such a person is left for his family and friends
I am not sure if there is any support provided in my country either but there are lot of private rehab centres available and which are bit expensive and treat almost every kind of addiction and the process is same for all, take them away from their regular life for 21-28 days and keep them healthy with a routine along with the supplements to tackle the withdrawal symptoms.
