How is it going?
I am dubious about adopting it, but for sure it is an interesting concept to explore.
So far, I'm not disappointed. Before I left, I used rsync to copy my data to this laptop, so my browser works with all my accounts. The laptop itself is small, sturdy, a few years old, and cheap. My assumption is it's too old for anyone to steal, but just in case: the filesystem is encrypted, and my home-directory is encrypted on top of that. I could add hardware disk encryption and bios password, but I don't really want to deal with 4 different passwords. The screen is small, but the battery lasts for many hours, and - very important - I love the keyboard (which is quite rare for a laptop)!

First of all, kudos!

Now the questions:
1. is it really necessary to add multiple layers of encryption, instead of a single complex password on the filesystem? I am genuinely asking because I 'm considering following your approach as well.
2. what are the main functionalities for which you need the laptop? (the ones you wanna share with us)
