A very well advice. And you can only achieve consistency on investing if you will learn to become disciplined which is very hard to do in reality if the effect of price impact is already considered.

Investors often feel fear when the price is dropping while feel the urge to sell when the price is pumping.

This is the common dilemma on investing that’s why many failed to become consistent due to lack of discipline on buying and holding.

I can agree with you that a newbie might panic when the price of bitcoin drop and can lead to selling premature, but I wouldn't agree with you on the ones who are already in the crypto space for quite some years now. Any investor who is not new in the crypto space, that panic when the price of bitcoin dips and sell when he sees a little profit is a trader and not an investor. To invest in bitcoin and hodli for long depends on our mindset towards bitcoin and the insight of what bitcoin will become in the future.

For any investor to be disciplined and hodli, he needs to prepare his mind on a long-term bitcoin investment plan and also use part of his discretionary income to invest in bitcoin using DCA method, where he can buy weekly/monthly without any financial pressure. The investor should also have a bitcoin target which will enable him stay on focus and keep his bitcoin accumulation ongoing for 4-10 years and above. As for a new investor, he should use little amount of money like $10 and above to start with so that he wouldn't panic when the price of bitcoin dips but continue buying weekly. When he has understood how bitcoin works and have gained confidence in bitcoin, he can increase his DCA amount.

Discipline is what can be practice and make it a habit. Every serious investor who wants to pile up wealth in bitcoin for the future will try their best to be discipline.
