The only rational decision at any impulsive time of gambling is to stop gambling. But I am sure that never in the front of the mind when it comes to dealing with big losses. The opposite action is more attractive because the machine to supposedly make money is right in front of them.

There are gamblers who keep control over their gambling but this number is very small, most of them will actually leave gambling very soon as well because they understand how the casino works and that the games are only going to bleed out the money.

Still keeping a limited budget while entering the casino and limiting your total time spent there will help most people.
