This is simply not true, there are completely legitimate services where you can buy (with cryptocurrencies) Mastercard or Visa virtual cards without KYC. If you had a closer look at the topics in this board, you would see for yourself.

This is not the first or last time something like this has happened, these are simply small scammers who are satisfied with the few thousand $ they grab, then hide for a while and start over. I can only say that you can never be too careful with such things.
