Hey Bitcoin, here's the deal: I need a new car. I just got home from a very long and sweaty trip: my A/C works, but at least one blend door actuator is possessed has a life of its own. I reset the system, and it worked for a few minutes again before it went wrong again. The end result: the A/C is working hard, the fan is loud, but the cold air doesn't reach the inside of the car. Barely any air comes out, because some of the blend doors are blocking it. Automatic climate control is very nice, until something fails, then old fashioned manual controls would have been much better. Add the fact that it consumes engine coolant, has a "check engine light" that comes on most of the time (but I can turn it off for a few hours by driving only long trips with expensive premium fuel), door rubbers that come loose, and tire pressure sensors that make a light on my dashboard blink (because of the sensor, not because of the tire pressure), and it's time to replace it. It's not even that old, but has had far too many problems already. Long story short, I want a new car.  Why post it here? I want to make a deal with Bitcoin, because I don't want to sell too much. So Bitcoin must go up, that's the only solution Smiley

Maybe I'm just very tired, but this felt like the right thing to post after the broken A/C really got to me. I just drove for 12 hours, passed an upside down car, a camper van on it's side, and lots of road work. Time to hit the couch with alcohol Smiley

Don't tell me about A/C units right now, because I'm ready to rip mine off the wall. Talking about my home A/C. Earlier on I went to my home lab to check something, and found my workbench full of water. The damned A/C drain pipe got blocked somehow, and the internal unit, which is directly over my workbench, started spitting out water all over my equipment. The one that got soaked the worst was my Tektronix oscilloscope, worth a few thousand $. Fortunately, it was not powered on. It's now slowly "baking" in the overoven, to dry out. Let's hope it works when I power it up.

Check your A/C units, and service them regularly, or you may end up like me or worse. Damn it.

Edit: typo.

Edit 2: Tek oscilloscope working fine! Phew! Also, I managed to repair a router which also got soaked and stopped working (it was powered on when it got wet). Had to remove a heatsink and clean the pins of the Broadcom chip under it (and the entire PCB) with alcohol (yes, the kind Phil drinks, 186 Proof to be exact -- still way to go, but getting there!). It came back to life! It's a cheap little router, I could have bought another one, but it's always nice when things start working again. Removed blockage from A/C drain pipe, now A/C works noticeably better and the rooms are much drier than before. All good. Wasted a day, but result was net positive.
