Respectfully, Gavin Newsom has no chance of being the next US President. It’s highly unlikely he’s even put forward as a candidate to run. He’s too opinionated & far left to be considered. I think the Democrats will put forward somebody like Michelle Obama even though she says she will not run.

Could be, but Michelle is not exactly that moderate and may decide not to run, because how the last campaign has resulted in a massive display of name calling and political indecency.

Re Gavin, well, the opinions can be tamed and there is plenty of time, but anyway, I am just saying it could be a good option. People will probably get tired of Trump soon by paying tomatoes at 3$.

What do people consider to be "far left"?
This administration is so far right that there is no room for the middle.
Trump and his Quislings have set "the system" free.
The influence that money has over our government is on full display, this includes most of them.

Newsome is establishment ---all the way----->  until he grew a pair when Trump sent troops into our state.
Michelle Obama supported Barak as his wife but did not care for being in the political spere (per her memoir and now podcast)

Newsom can't run for governor again; under current rules, but hey our government is breaking laws against people on our soil daily.

I really wish that gerrymandering wasn't on the table but since Texas is trying to redistrict aaaand threating to put out warrants for the democrats who are breaking quorum by leaving the state: redistricting may be on California's November's ballot

Before 2008 I was center right leaning fiscally: left leaning on civil liberties. I've been registered as Independent (No party affiliation) since 2008.

If Trumplian policies and project 2025 are considered center? Then I'm left of left.

The maga (make America great again) movement was a dog whistle when Regan used it and anyone wearing a red maga hat (8-5-25-->) looks like a kkk fool to me.

When 'was' America great?
America has always been a great country but it has never reconciled its past.

We are in a moment in history that the future will judge harshly; the difference is that the last 30 years have produced raw data and information that will not be rewritten easily.
