Developing countries escaping poverty is not unheard of and in fact a lot of the strongest economies now are ones that used to struggle before. China used to be called the sleeping giant because it was believed to be of potential. And that was right. But the question is why is it that those countries got out of poverty while some did not?

Most countries get out of poverty because they become productive by exportation instead of importation. This locally made goods are exported to other countries in return of dollars, thereby reducing poverty in such countries. Africa as a continent would have become rich if they explore their mineral resources by themselves and export it to other countries instead of foreign countries exploiting it for them and selling it back to them. Let's take Burkina Faso as a case study, there gold was mined for many years by France and where been paid annually with less amount compeard to the profit they make. But since the current president Ibrahim traore led administration started to mine gold by themselves, they where able to make x20 profit in less than 3 months compeard to there annual profit. and of course such money will be used to develop the country. Now factory is currently being built with such profit and this will bring more civilization to the country and will attract foreign investors. So poor countries where able to be more productive instead of consumptive.
