Other thread[/url] has video interviewing scammed guy, and here he says, he trusted the sparrow wallet "mobile version" available on app store thinking apple vets these apps (watch the video linked in aforementioned thread at 4:03 mark), and this blind trust costed him good.
Ok, fine. He trusted the App Store thinking the software was legit. Let's say that it happens. But how was he not suspicious and didn't see anything wrong with the app asking him to enter his seed phrase? Why would a companion app to an airgapped hardware wallet require your seed? It doesn't. It wasn't long ago that he had to go through a similar setup procedure involving his Coldcard Q and the legitimate Sparrow Wallet for desktop. Sparrow didn't ask for a recovery phrase then. He should have immediately realized there was a difference in the onboarding process. Sadly, that didn't happen.
