Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source. The board is even in English, so most many Merit sources can read it.
I personally think that merit sources should have as a requirement, a minimum number of sent merits per month, and per X board, in order to keep their merit source badge active.
So If I don't want to read certain posts, I could either lose my Merit source status, or just Merit a random post. That's not going to improve anything.
I read what I want, being a Merit source is not a paid job where a boss gets to tell me what work to do.
As far as I know, only local boards have some specific merit sources.
And even they can spend their source Merits anywhere they want. They only reason they're "tied" to a local board is because they can actually read it.
