Imagine if guide subforum really exist, every thread will start with "GUIDE" and it's all mixed whether it's guide about creating wallet, guide to make Bitcointalk account secure, guide to become a campaign manager, a guide to pushup properly etc.
It is not necessary guides but a sub forum for topics like
I am new
I want to learn
I want to explore
I want to
As we can see many topics like this in Beginners & Help board, a new sub board for such topics can be created if sub forums is approved.
Proposals for sub forums like for Security and Privacy were not approved so I don't think Guide sub forum will be approved.
