🏆 BPPL 2025 LEADERBOARD AFTER ROUND 9 🏆
Ranked by Total Winnings till Round 9

Only the top 8 will qualify for the $1000 grand finale.

Why do we need to kick out a player who missed two orbits? This is a completely meaningless and unfair rule.
I don’t understand where it even came from.
Basically, it’s a punishment for what? For losing internet connection?
I’ve never seen such a rule anywhere — on the contrary, it’s usually considered good sportsmanship to give such a player extra time and wait for them. Their stack will be eaten by the blinds anyway as the tournament approaches the ITM.
I don’t think this should be done.

First of all, this is not a hard and fast rule. The genesis of this rule is embedded in the very first tournaments that took place here. Some players just used to sitout and cashout prizes without playing. Now, we have enough players and a fast enough blind structure to tackle that. I never kickout any player just based on disconnection if he has played at least one hand.
Secondly, lengthening blinds intervals / less ante will lead to more of this play especially where we have top 8-10 places paid among 15-20 players.
The majority of people cannot devote 3-4 hours to late night tournament. We have already seen so many related feedbacks. It is impossible to come up with an structure which pleases everyone.
Rest assured I have acknowledged your feedback, lets see how others feel about it. I have no personal inclination to structure the tournament in a specific way, this is the result of trial and error based on dozens of previous events.

@AHOYBRAUSE it seems you are also in the grand finale as of now. Cool

Memehunter It was good call to open a telegram community for us. If I hadn't get notifications from telegram I could've missed todays match. Placed another round for a reward , damn I missed earlier matches.
Yeah our Telegram Bitcointalk Contest Group  is good for any contest related information, not just poker, you will always be one step ahead.  Cool
