Pakistan eventually lost the series. But the second match was exciting to watch. Pakistan should have won the second match or the game was in their favor at times. Ireland batted very well towards the end. Due to which they were able to win the match.
At least in women's cricket, Ireland is much better than Pakistan. They have a well structured domestic tournament for the women players, and for the last two years they are receiving increased amount of funding from the ICC as well. Pakistan women managed to put up a decent target. Despite losing wickets frequently, they got to a total of 168/6, thanks to contributions from Shawaal Zulfiqar and Natalia Pervaiz. Orla Prendergast bowled 4 decent overs for Ireland, but others were expensive. But in return, Orla once again won the match with a half-century. It wonders me why she has never played the WPL.
