Bitcoin's scarcity isn't just a digital artifact; it's a marvel of social consensus engineering. [REMOVED IMAGE]
Even scarcer technologies may emerge in the future, but their value will be challenging to replicate.
Isn't it there are thousands of altcoins that try to replicate the success of Bitcoin and yet no one can duplicate it. Some of the offer scarcity as well, but they didn't got any consensus. We even have Bitcoin forks in the past that didn't succeed as well. So maybe in the future someone will built something similar to Bitcoin. But we all know that there will be only one original invention and it's going to be very hard to imitate it. And they will also be viewed as just copy cat and not original so that might be a major turn off for investors. So Bitcoin is unique itself, very hard to copy because it's not just the scarcity, but combination of support or consensus, and adoption.
