Manchester City suffered heavily last season, one of the reasons was the absence of Rodri and it added up to their poor performance last season but I believe they have made provisions for that position. I also believe without Rodri Manchester City can still be a strong team they cannot depend on him forever.

With or without RODRI, Manchester city is still going to struggle this season. What is even the guarantee that Rodri will still play in high performance if he eventually comes back to integrate with the team?
Most people who went on a very long injury hardly comes back fit, so the situation of Rodri is very skeptical.
And being injured again even without playing an official match is a red flag to me.
So, if I were Guardiola, I will simply remove my hope on Rodri and look for a good replacement.
