There are scenario that can happen to affect Bitcoin but it won't just disappear instantly. If Bitcoin should stop to exist it will definitely have huge effect in the world for some time until everyone adapts to it. The impact still depends on whether there is another cryptocurrency that can take it place perfectly or how long it takes for a new innovation to come out. The world is evolving everytime so If Bitcoin disappears there will surely be another technology that will take over and serve people.

Bitcoin's market capitalization is just $2.4 trillion, and compared to the global GDP of $120 trillion, this represents just 1% of global GDP. Also, although it seems that bitcoin has become very popular globally. However according to surveys, less than 10% of the world's population invests in bitcoin, and if that is true. If bitcoin disappeared, it would certainly cause some damage to the financial markets, but I don't think it would have as big an impact on the world as you might think.

If it disappeared simply because it was replaced by something better, not because of some incident or accident, then it wouldn't even cause any impact or damage to the world.
