I think this all started after Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr in 2023, and than Karim Benzema to Al-Ittihad.
Last year Ivan Toney one of the best goalscorers in EFL Championship moved to Al-Ahli, and I think more players will follow.

Yes all that moves and the posterior ones break the market for ever, i mean now Saudi football is a new pole in football and now also the player take some leverage from it like i said.

For example if you know you are not gonna have minutes in your team and you dont want to go into a less important club in europe, you can go into the saudi league for a year keeping the pace of your football and earning millions and in the next transfermarket window come back to europe at very high level.
